21st Century Wellness – Natures Unique Healing Therapy System
During our lives our bodies are ‘coding’ our negative experiences and attaching emotions like fear, hurt, guilt, shame and anger to different events that we experience. The negative thoughts that are attached to a memory create a chain of biochemical and psychological changes. This coding creates automatic reactions, which become dysfunctional behaviour and painful thought patterns that can become part of life. These thought patterns and behaviours may manifest as anxiety, sleep problems, PTSD, addiction, compulsions and many other symptoms of internal distress. Following a traumatic event our bodies may find it difficult to return to homeostasis and we may remain in a state of high alert, often leading to other psychological and physical illness.
Counselling and CBT are the most well-known, interventions for dealing with issues of negative emotions, and many people have had success in becoming more self-aware in dealing with their problems using these techniques. These techniques usually involve weeks or months, occasionally years, of sessions, and often the more the individual ruminates and replays a traumatic experience, the stronger and more powerful the neurological connections become. A 21st Century, faster, more focussed approach was needed to get to the root of the problem and resolve it quickly.

Known in the therapy world for its super speed and rapid long-lasting results – Psy-tap, (Psycho-sensory techniques and Practices), was created by engineer, physicist and Harley Street therapist Kevin Laye. Kevin has drawn on his extensive experience in therapy, and in depth study of some of the most effective therapeutic procedures and interventions, combining them with his own well researched and evidenced original techniques, to create a set of techniques and procedures that can take years off clients therapy and their therapy bills. Psychosensory techniques use sensory stimuli of touch, sight, sound etc., to affect the sympathetic nervous system in a positive way, promoting psychological and emotional health. Many clients leave after only one session stating that their issue is resolved and reporting feelings of lightness and positivity.
Psy-tap Practitioners are a small group of individuals, including GP’s and other medical professionals, who are certified to practice the Psy-tap techniques. This unique set of tools can resolve conditions such as anxiety, panic attacks, grief, stress, trauma and PTSD, and other psychological issues fast, rapidly getting clients out of distress. The techniques have neuroscience and neurobiology underpinning. The effectiveness and efficacy of the techniques has been tested using proven measurement techniques and found to have consistently higher success rates than those of other therapies. We recode and the problem goes away. It’s that simple. Our minds are very adaptable and can change in an instant, which is why these techniques work so quickly.
It’s a solution rather than problem focussed approach and can be practiced content free, if required, so the client doesn’t need to relive their painful experiences by discussing them in depth. Psy-tap focusses on the feelings rather than the memory of the negative events. We don’t want erase the memory of events, it is important that we remember, because we learn what is safe and unsafe through our memories, but by eliminating the emotional distress at its root the whole tree of negative thinking and behaviour collapses – we retain the memory and the wisdom.
“When you have a memory of a disturbing event, but with no emotional attachment… We call that Wisdom” Dr Joe Dispensa
