An Update from Concourse Shopping Centre
If you’ve visited the Concourse Shopping Centre this summer, you will have undoubtedly seen the new additions that have opened.
It’s all part of the management’s team proactive efforts to enhance the shopping experience for all ages.
The Coffee House has been warmly received by shoppers and visitors alike, thanks to its inviting seating, a wide range of drinks and – of course – delicious snacks.
Another noteworthy addition is 2LoveMy, a local skincare enterprise that specialises in premium skincare products, beauty training and professional make-up services.
And for those more active residents of Skelmersdale, Gym Works, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, has opened on the ground floor. Gym Works prides itself on offering accessible, premium fitness options, emphasising its commitment to affordability. Boasting an array of amenities, Gym Works provides a huge selection of 250 cardio, strength, resistance and functional machines, as well as a dedicated 200m² area for free weights, benches and HIIT (high-intensity interval training) equipment.

The Concourse Shopping Centre prides itself on its sense of community, and to this end, the management has launched ‘The Friendly Bench’, a thoughtful space designed to foster connections and conversations. The idea is to unite individuals, alleviate solitude and enhance overall wellness. Each Thursday, the bench will be manned by local members of the MitE Chaplaincy, who will offer pastoral support to local people through a ‘listening ear’ chaplaincy service.
