Come on a journey through the world of theatre with the Really Random Theatre Company!

Meeting every Thursday at 7pm at the Evermoor Hub, the Really Random Theatre Company stage a wide variety of performances, from short educational plays to Panto, and all profits go to local charities, CICs, and other worthwhile projects.

Recently, our editor Bev attended a ‘Murder Mystery Night In’ at Erooms hosted by the group. The event saw a team of actors perform a 30-minute play where the main character was killed off. They then served up hot curry, Scouse, and a choice of sweet desserts, all of which were included in the ticket price! After this, the actors welcomed the audience to get involved in questioning them in order to discover who the killer was. This lively and fun event saw the organisation raise over £600, which they donated to Dream Makers Drama Society, a local charity. This was their first production as the Really Random Theatre Company, having previously been the Random Theatre Company, and was considered a huge success by both the team and the audience who attended.

Mark Hill, one of the group’s founding members, said, “We discuss what projects to raise money for and will consider any proposals put forward. For example, we’ve previously raised funds for Yewdale Counselling Service, Erooms and Dream Makers, a drama group that caters for people with disabilities that we are affiliated with.”

The company hopes to stage a Christmas Pantomime this year, but plans are ongoing, so watch this space!
