Maria Murray collaborates with one of the UK’s largest make up brands!

Maria Murray, local makeup artist based in La Boutique, Skelmersdale, recently won the opportunity to collaborate with one of the UK’s largest make up brands! About the Town Magazine managed to catch a few minutes with Maria to find out more…

When Maria Murray, a makeup artist from Skelmersdale, entered a competition recently she never in her wildest dreams thought she would win! So when it was announced on Instagram that she had bagged herself a massive £20,000 cash prize, plus a collaboration with one of the UK’s largest makeup brands, P.Louise, she was beyond ecstatic.

The collaboration with P.Louise, a multimillion-pound makeup brand based in Manchester, is a huge opportunity for Maria, who said “I was more excited about the collab than the money, if I’m honest. Whilst money is great, the chance to create my own product with such an amazing company is so exciting and will hopefully open doors to more opportunities! I’m just an ordinary girl who works in Skelmersdale, this really is a dream come true.”

Owner of P.Louise, Paige, now 26 years old, became a millionaire at just 24 years old. Paige started out in the makeup industry earning under £600 a month, and in her first year of business turned over £3.8 million. Paige prides herself on being someone who started from nothing and built her empire from the ground up. She believes strongly in lifting up others and encourages them to aim high to achieve their goals. She has certainly given Maria a stepping stone towards further success in her career, and we look forward to seeing Maria’s collaboration, which is likely to be out in 2021!

“How amazing is it to have this opportunity to be able to collab with the best in the industry,” Maria announced. “I’m in absolute shock right now, I can’t put into words just how happy I am right now, my dream has come true!”

Maria is based in La Boutique salon, in Ashurst, for makeup appointments and will work from Queen of Aesthetics in Parbold for makeup tutorials. Maria is also expanding her services and is now in the process of creating some online tutorials for those who wish to learn the art of makeup from the comfort of their own homes.
