Since 1810, Oddfellows, a worldwide non-profit organisation, has been helping to improve the lives of its members through friendship, care and charitable support.
The Ormskirk and Southport group meets on the second Wednesday of each month and arranges regular social events and activities that help to encourage friendship and support. These events include lunches, day trips and talks. Coming up for members soon are coffee mornings and afternoons, an Iron Bridge Cruise & Lunch, a day trip to Lytham, and much more.
As well as day trips, Oddfellows also have their own travel group where you can book a holiday! So whether it’s a short break you’re after or a week or two away, Oddfellows can accommodate. Some of the holidays they currently have listed include Scotland & the Faroes, Lapland and Scandinavia.
Oddfellows provide a care & welfare helpline, a dedicated Citizens Advice line, convalescence benefits and benevolence grants as part of their support network. You can also claim dental and optical benefits through Oddfellows by contacting Southport & Ormskirk Branch Secretary Bonita Hesketh for a form.
If you want to get involved with Oddfellows or learn more about what they do, contact Bonita Hesketh on 01695 424149 or email Bonita.Hesketh@oddfellows.co.uk. Alternatively, visit www.oddfellows.co.uk.
