What’s On at Concourse Shopping Centre This Winter

As winter approaches, Concourse Shopping Centre is alive with preparations to welcome shoppers and families for a season filled with cheer, music, and, of course, shopping! But before we dive into what’s coming up, let’s take a moment to celebrate some recent events that have brought the community together.

Celebrating Past Events

Over recent months, the Concourse has been a hub of community activity, hosting events that drew enthusiastic crowds and strong local support.

In late September, the centre held a successful Macmillan Coffee Morning in East Square, where the community gathered over coffee and cakes to raise funds for a worthy cause. The event raised over £800. (Check out event photos on our Facebook page!)

Following this, the annual Poppy Appeal ran from 25th October to 9th November in Iceland Square. This meaningful event offered community members a chance to honour veterans and active service members, with an impressive turnout once again.

On Saturday, 16th November, the Christmas spirit officially arrived at the Concourse Shopping Centre as the centre was lit up with festive lights. On the same day, the Made in WN8 CIC Youth Market showcased young entrepreneurs from the WN8 area, giving them an opportunity to sell their handmade goods.

November also marked the opening of Boylesports on the Concourse’s ground floor, providing a new spot for sports betting enthusiasts.
