Introducing Bake Away, Skelmersdale’s brand new restaurant quality takeaway food service!

Give your taste buds a treat with delicious sweet treats or savoury delights from Bake Away, a brand-new restaurant quality takeaway food service here in Skelmersdale.  Each and every dish is produced using quality ingredients and has been made with a passion for great food.  

Owners of Bake Away, Conor Greatrex and Ranna Ameer, aren’t your run of the mill cooks – Conor is classical French trained and has worked as a chef in several well-known Michelin starred restaurants in South West England and Central London, and at just 29 years old, has expanded his passion for creating delicious restaurant quality meals and is now offering this to food lovers in Skelmersdale.  Ranna is just 23 years old but has also worked in many Michelin starred restaurants such as St James Hotel in Mayfair, where she met Conor, as well as Galvin La Chapelle and Seven Park Place, and she is also classical French trained.

Conor said, “I have been a chef for just over a decade. Six years ago, I moved out of Skelmersdale to further my career and have since worked at Michelin starred hotels and restaurants.  I came back home to Skelmersdale because I was sadly furloughed due to COVID-19.  However, returning home with all my knowledge and experience inspired me to create my brand-new business, Bake Away!”

From boxes of Cupcakes and Eclaires, to Celebration Cakes and Afternoon Teas, in addition to flavour bursting Beef Bourguingnon and aromatic Chicken Curry – the skills these young chefs have, are limitless.   

In fact, Ranna won the Craft Guild of Pastry Competition in 2020, and is currently the reigning champion of pastry chefs in London, so you know you are getting the very best from these two incredibly talented chefs!

One of the greatest things about Bake Away, besides the immaculate quality of the food, is the fact that Conor is extremely passionate about where the ingredients come from.  From the butter to the meat, all the produce used is sourced from local, independent businesses, so you can always rest assured each dish is made with fresh, local ingredients!  In addition, Conor is extremely passionate about helping the community in times of need, and has demonstrated great community spirit during the pandemic where he cheered up local residents with his culinary talents.
