Local singer / Songwriter, Jamie Wooding, releases brand new single!

Jamie Wooding’s brand-new single, ‘Same old reasons’ was released on 22nd April on Spotify and Apple Music. Speaking about his new release Jamie said, “This song is about realising you’re not right for someone, and learning that it’s OK to be someone’s mistake, despite it always being the same reasons for ending it. This is something I’ve experienced personally.”
The song was produced and mixed by Sugar House and mastered by Grammy nominated mastering engineer Robin Schmidt, known for mastering Liam Gallagher, The 1975 and many more.
The track has been recently reviewed by Clash Magazine who said, “The songwriter balances pensive lyricism to his innate melodic abilities, twisting in and out to transform viewpoints.”
The former St Bede’s High School pupil has been playing guitar since the age of 13, and says, “I’m incredibly proud of this song, I can’t wait for you all to hear it!”
As well as writing new music, Jamie spent time during the recent lockdowns singing and performing for his neighbours on the street, in order to cheer them up and let them know they’re not alone.
Jamie’s last single, ‘You and I’, received strong backing from the BBC Introducing, from airplay to interviews live on air! With his new release just landing and now being back in the studio making more music, Jamie is definitely one young musician you should be following.
