A Celebration…

As you know by now, we love sharing good news at About the Town, and so when local leader of Skelmersdale Rainbows and Brownies, Heather Karlsena and Karen Sutemire contacted us to see if we could share their good news, we were right on the job!
Heather wanted to let us know about the end of year awards evening, where 1st Rainbows & 9th Brownies Skelmersdale were handed 150 badges to 24 Brownie girls and 20 Rainbows girls, in addition to 10 Rainbows who also gained their bronze awards.
On the guest list were the Mayor, Mayoress and local Councillors, who all came to celebrate this fantastic awards night.
During the year, the girls learned amazing new skills such as First Aid and CPR, Belly Dancing, camping and even Mindfulness.
If you would like your own daughter to be part of something great, where they can meet new friends, have more fun and grow in confidence maybe it’s time to consider Girlguiding!
Depending on the age of your daughter, she will be welcome to join Rainbows (4-7), Brownies (7-10), Guides (10-14) or Rangers (14-18)! To register your interest and to find out about units in your area visit www.girlguiding.org.uk
