Twinkle House – Improving the lives of communities across the North West.

If you haven’t heard of Twinkle House, then you are missing out on one of Skelmersdale’s greatest resources for families, children, young people and adults.

Twinkle House is a fully inclusive Centre that is accessible to everyone – with or without any additional needs.

Based in Skelmersdale, they welcome visitors from across the North West due to the fantastic facilities available.

Onsite is a large light sensory room, a fully immersive room and a large Hydrotherapy Pool – which are all available to hire, and available for all ages and abilities. You can even hire the rooms for parties and events!

The light sensory room includes soft play steps, slide and floor matting along with therapy swings, while the fully immersive room offers something tranquil for relaxation, something fun and educational, and it can even help with phobias or sleeping difficulties.

All these rooms can be hired from £15 per hour (based on 1-3 people, £5pp thereafter)

The Hydrotherapy Pool is available for anyone to use at the rate of £45. The suite is private and has shower facilities. The pool is accessible for all.

The water in hydrotherapy pools is a higher temperature than that of regular swimming pools. The therapeutic effect of this heat process is the principle basis of hydrotherapy. The use of the pool can help with the following:

Reduce joint stiffness

Strengthen muscles

Reduce/manage pain

Muscle relaxation

Improved balance and coordination

Improved psychological relaxation
