Woodland Primary School raises funds for Macmillan…

On 25th September, Woodland Primary School hosted a very different Macmillan coffee morning. This has become a regular event in our school calendar where the community comes together and raises lots of money for a worthy cause. Due to current circumstances we felt that it was important to support this cause more than ever. So, we planned 30-minute slots during the day where each year group could buy a cake and a drink and their parents could also put the kettle on and join us for a Zoom meeting.

It was fantastic walking around school hearing the excitement of children talking to their parents. Even staff and children who are currently isolating at home were able to join in too. Also, it was a good opportunity for parents to see the classroom where their children are being taught and meet all the staff.
