Art at the Eccy: A Celebration of Local Creativity

Beacon Photographic Club has brought a burst of colour and creativity to the Ecumenical Centre with its latest exhibition, part of the exciting new Art at the Eccy gallery. The initiative, supported by Cllr John Fillis and Centre Director Paul McConnell, aims to showcase the very best of Skelmersdale’s artistic talent, and the photographers did not disappoint.

The exhibition was a vibrant celebration of the club’s work, featuring everything from breathtaking landscapes and lively street scenes to striking portraits, playful wildlife shots and imaginative techniques like splash and light painting. Each image told its own story and together they highlighted the passion and skill of photographers at every stage, from enthusiastic beginners to seasoned members.
For Beacon Photographic Club, founded in 2014 by a small group of friends, the exhibition was more than just a display. It was a chance to inspire others, spark curiosity, and share the joy of photography with the wider community.

Meeting every Wednesday at Four Lane Ends Mission, the club continues to grow as a welcoming hub of creativity, friendship and learning.
