July Newsletter

Welcome to our July Newsletter!

We hope you are enjoying your Summer so far, and hope you have managed to grab a copy of our latest edition of our magazine?!  If you haven’t already, you can read it online here or you can pick up a copy at Asda Skelmersdale.

I have been rather busy since the new edition dropped!  Last week I had a great morning speaking to the owners of local business FTW Training, and leaning how to drive some forklift trucks! It gave me a real insight into what amazing work they do!  If you are unemployed, or have a household income of less than £16,000, you can take the opportunity to get a forklift truck licence, and a level 2 accreditation.  After you complete your qualification, which takes just 3 weeks, FTW Training will also help you find work.
Women are also encouraged to give this opportunity some consideration!

Having lived and worked in Skelmersdale my entire life, I noticed that local magazine publications tended to leave Skelmersdale out. The only communication we were receiving was from our local newspaper, and I felt that there was a gap in the market to bring something unique to the town.
